In the early morning, when we go out running at one of our local parks, we can see the hot air balloons rising up one by one. Once I had taken a few photos, I just had to make a hot air balloon quilt pattern.

I drew the mountains in a way that I could make multiple copies and join them together to get one continuous piece.

The two balloons and the mountains are standalone pieces in the pattern. They can therefore be made individually for different projects, or together.

Hot Air Balloon quilt pattern makes a 20 inch x 24 inch hot air balloon quilt with mountains, great size for a wall hanging.

It is perfect for stand-alone projects such as a wall hanging, table runner, pillow or a bag. It can be just as easily incorporated into a larger quilt.

The pattern for this paper pieced quilt block is made and tested by me. It is in colour and clearly numbered. A diagram is also provided in the pattern.

Basic instructions for foundation paper piecing are not included in the pattern.
