Every year for Halloween, we get two pumpkins for each one of us to carve. I made two pumpkins for the Halloween quilt as well. Just like I wouldn’t carve two pumpkins the same way, I didn’t want the blocks to be repeated either. So I made a Jack-O-Lantern block …
…and a Cat-O-Lantern block. Cat-O-Lantern is made from the same Jack-O-Lantern quilt pattern. I only added whiskers and gave it a different mouth. I can even mix and match.
Until next time,
-Soma

It’s fascinating, Soma that with the addition of a few whiskers how you can change the look of the block completely. Cute, cute cat! Once again your piecing is amazing!

Those whiskers are perfect :) I am so looking forward to seeing your quilt. I understand the need for jack-o-lantern variety…we sure have that in our family, a cyberman pumpkin was the highlight last year, hard telling what this year will bring.
