Trunk Full Of Quilts – 2016

Online Quilt Trunk Show 2016 | Whims And Fancies

Hello and Welcome to Trunk Full Of Quilts here at Whims And Fancies!

Last November I had this idea of hosting Trunk Full Of Quilts – an online trunk show.  There was so much support, so many people linked up.  People visited each other and left wonderful comments.  So I decided to host it one more time this year.

This event gives us a chance to showcase our work on a new blog post, link up here, and let others admire them.  You can show any quilted item, it does not have to be quilts only.

A few of my friends also knit and crochet.  I would love for you to link up those lovely makes here as well.

After all the tension of last night, I really needed a diversion.  Let’s have a great time with the trunk show!

I believe in collaboration over competition, so there will be no judges. This event is for pure show and tell fun. You will be entered in the giveaway just for participating in the event.

I am so thankful to these generous sponsors for providing prizes. Alongside Whims And Fancies, I also have Aurifil Threads, Meadow Mist Designs, Craftsy, Fat Quarter Shop, Buzzing’ Bumble, and Cooking Up Quilts sponsoring this event.

Craftsy provided a huge bundle of fabrics to give away.  Aurifil also sent me two boxes of threads.  Lara from Buzzin’ Bumble is giving away a copy of her book, Crafted Applique.  My fellow pattern designers Meadow Mist Designs and Cooking Up Quilts are also participating by giving away their fabulous patterns.

With all the goodies, I was able to create six total prize packages to give away.  At the end of the event, I will pick six random participants who linked up.

Viewer’s Prize

There would not be a show and tell without the viewers, I couldn’t leave them behind. So the last prize package is for following or subscribing to Whims And Fancies and for leaving a few comments for your fellow quilters. You get additional chances to win by sharing this event on any social network. Let me know that you have done so by leaving a comment here and you will be entered for this giveaway.

Let’s Show And Tell

Choose your favourite FINISHED quilted and/or knitted projects. These can be quilts, blankets, bags, pillows, wall hangings, etc. They DO NOT have to be made in 2016, but they do have to be finished projects.

Write up a new blog post specific to the trunk show including photos and a little description of each item you want to share. Old blog post links will be removed.

I have gotten a few inquiries about entering via Flickr.  Yes!  You can definitely do that as well.  Make sure it is a new photo.  Also, please add a link back to this page.

On your blog post, include the badge and a link back to the Whims And Fancies Trunk Full Of Quilts 2016 page.  You can also add the badge to your blog.

Then come back here and link up! That’s it!

Link-ups will close on November 20th.

What a great idea to host this trunk show. Computers can be frustrating-tell me how I know that! You have done a splendid job in putting this all together and I only wish I could be sharing on the trunk show side. Life has kept me from finishing much but so happy I have things in progress and hope I will be more successful with completions after the holidays and weddings and baptisms and farming etc. Sharing on Facebook.
